According to the needs of readers and market rules, marketable books and related cultural products were organized to participate in the exhibition, supplemented by colorful cultural activities, which successfully created a good atmosphere for citizens to love books and read books, presented a wonderful and joyful cultural feast for the general public and readers, and further pushed the reading activity of "Scholarly Lingnan" to a climax.
In 2009, South China Book Fair was awarded the "Excellent Project of National Reading Activities" by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and the General Administration of Press and Publication. Holding the Southern Book Festival once a year has been written into the outline of building a strong cultural province in Guangdong Province and has become an important part of the top ten projects of building a strong cultural province in Guangdong Province.
