Gu, male, 57 years old, German Chinese. He is a tenured professor of political science and international relations at the University of Bonn, Germany, and concurrently the director of the Center for Global Studies. So far, he is the only China scholar (C4/W3) who has obtained the highest-level professor in German humanities.

Gu graduated from School of Library and Information Science of Wuhan University 1982, with a bachelor of arts; 1985 obtained a master's degree in literature from cologne university; 199 1 received a doctorate in political science from Bonn university; 199 1 to 1998, teaching as an assistant professor in the Department of Politics, University of Freiburg, Germany; From 65438 to 0995, he visited the University of California at Berkeley and Harvard University. 1998 passed the German tenured professor qualification examination, and later served as the acting professor of political science at Trier University; 1999-2002 Senior Research Fellow, Institute of European Studies, Bonn University; In 2002, he became a tenured professor of political science at Bochum University, Germany, and concurrently served as the director of the Institute of East Asian Politics. From June 5, 2009 to 10, Professor Gu was invited by the University of Bonn, Germany, as a tenured professor of political science and professor of international relations, and was responsible for the establishment and director of the Global Studies Center of Bonn University.
