Central South University of Forestry and Technology, referred to as Central South University of Forestry and Technology, is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is a basic capacity building project for provincial universities, provincial key universities and universities in the central and western regions and an education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents established by the State Forestry Administration and the Hunan Provincial People's Government.

As of June 20 18, the school covers an area of 1388 mu, with a total construction area of 703,000 square meters and total fixed assets of18.7 billion yuan. There are graduate schools and 24 teaching units.
