The library building of Shaanxi University Hall was built in 1902, which is the origin of Northwest University Library and one of the earliest modern libraries in China. The library of Northwest University has gone through several stages: initial establishment, development, ups and downs, changing its name and location, and innovative development.

1950 was officially named Northwest University Library. Its historical evolution is: Shaanxi University Library Building (1902.5)→ National Northwest University Library Department (1925. 10)→ National xi 'an Temporary University Library Group (1937.9)→ National Northwest United University Library Group (/kloc-0).
