The reporter learned from the General Administration of Customs on the 28th that the "Measures" stipulated the quantity limit of printed matter and audio-visual products imported for self-use. If the quantity is within the specified quantity, the customs will give them duty-free inspection and release. For example, the number of books, newspapers and periodicals published in separate volumes is less than 10 per person each time; A single disc (disc) of audio-visual products issued not less than 20 discs at a time; Books and publications issued in complete sets, no more than 3 sets per person at a time; Complete sets of audio-visual products, no more than 3 sets per person at a time.
If the printed matter and audio-visual products that exceed the above provisions are still imported for personal use in a reasonable amount, the customs will, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Import and Export Tariff, levy taxes on the part that exceeds the specified amount and release it.
If more than a reasonable amount is carried by individuals, the customs shall go through the relevant procedures for all imported printed matter and audio-visual products according to the imported goods.
What printed matter and audio-visual products are prohibited from entering the country by law?
China's "Measures for Customs Supervision of Entry and Exit Printed Materials and Audio-visual Products" stipulates that printed materials and audio-visual products with one of the following contents are prohibited from entering the country:
