How did the "Palace-style" architecture with "China's inherent form" rise and develop in China?
After entering modern times, the traditional architecture in China was strongly influenced by modern western architecture, and a "palace-style" architecture with "China's inherent form" appeared. "China's Inherent Form" began with the architectural design activities of Nanjing Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum was designed by Lv Yanzhi and started construction on 1926. This is the first time that an architect has planned and designed an important work of a large building group in China. After Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum, there are buildings such as Guangzhou Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Shanghai Municipal Government Office Building and Nanjing Central Museum, which are also "palace-style" buildings. Most modern architects in China have studied in the United States. Zhuang Jun designed the Tsinghua University Auditorium and Library from 19 14 to 1923, and Chen Zhi and Tong Yin jointly designed the Nanjing Foreign Ministry Building and other buildings. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Beijing has famous buildings such as Beijing Peace Hotel and Beijing Telegraph Building. Yang Tingbao and others participated in the design of "Top Ten Buildings" in Beijing: Great Hall of the People, China Museum of History and Chinese Revolution, China People's Revolutionary Military Museum, Beijing Railway Station, Beijing Workers Stadium, National Agricultural Exhibition Hall, Guest House (Diaoyutai), National Culture Palace, national hotel and Overseas Chinese Building. In addition, there are the China Art Museum and the Monument to the People's Heroes designed by Liang Sicheng. Since 1970s, many hotels and other public buildings have been built in southern ports, including Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Building, Guangzhou Hotel, baiyun hotel, Friendship Theatre, China Export Fair Exhibition Hall, Oriental Hotel, Liu Hua Hotel and Mineral Spring Villa.
