She was founded in 1955, 1966 was discontinued, 1975 was reissued, and 1995 was changed from quarterly to bimonthly. She is one of the earliest university journals in China. Before 1990, this journal was always held by Professor Ke Zhao, a senior academician in China. The current editor-in-chief is Professor Liu Yingming, an academician of China Academy of Sciences. Since the publication of 1955, this journal has published nearly 4,000 research papers, which has played an important role in promoting the growth of academic team, academic exchanges and scientific development at home and abroad, and enjoys a certain reputation at home and abroad. In recent years, the academic level and the quality of editing and printing have been steadily improved, and the impact factors and total cited frequency rank among the top of similar journals in China.
