According to Baidu map, Lanzhou Jiaotong University is located at No.88, Anning West Road, Anning District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. Lanzhou Jiaotong University is a university jointly established by China Railway Corporation, Gansu Provincial People's Government, State Railway Administration and Gansu Provincial People's Government. It has also been selected into the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, and is a high-level university and a "first-class discipline" construction university in Gansu Province.

As of March 2023, the school has two campuses, covering an area of 1.564 mu, a school building area of 727,700 square meters, a library of 2,334,500 books, five post-doctoral research stations, six first-class doctoral programs, 28 first-class master's degree authorization points, and 15 professional degree authorization categories.
