Three temples in Hancheng: Confucian Temple+Dongying Temple+Chenghuang Temple.
In Hancheng ancient city, there are many ancient buildings, among which the "Three Temples" are the most famous, including Confucian Temple, Dongying Temple and Chenghuang Temple. Covering the styles of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, * * * has more than 0/00 single buildings, forming a beautiful open-air architectural museum.

These three groups of ancient buildings, located in the northeast of the ancient city, were originally independent courtyards. Since 2002, the walls between the three courtyards have been gradually dismantled, connecting them from south to north in one breath. It forms a space with a depth of more than 600 meters from north to south and an area of about 80,000 square meters, becoming the core scenic spot of Hancheng Ancient City. Every time I come to hancheng city, I will visit three temples and walk along the central axis, and magnificent buildings will appear in turn.

1, Confucian Temple?

Hancheng Confucian Temple is the most complete existing Confucian Temple complex in Shaanxi Province. Founded in Yuan Dynasty, it was renovated in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The whole building faces south and enters the courtyard four times. In turn, we can see some important buildings, such as Liuli Wulong Wall, Lingxingmen, Chi Pan, Jiymen, Dacheng Hall, Mingluntang, Zunjingge, and other ancillary buildings, such as wooden archways, cloisters and pavilions. On June 25th, 20001year, it was announced by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Passing through Lingxingmen and entering the Confucian Temple, the ancient cypresses in the courtyard are towering, all planted in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Half-moon-shaped Chi Pan is surrounded by stone fences and has a double-hole stone bridge in the middle. There are six stone pavilions symmetrically built around, and the stone tablets record the construction of Confucian temples in Ming and Qing Dynasties.

On the north side of the first courtyard is Jiyumen, formerly known as Dachengmen, with three rooms wide and two rooms deep, with a single eaves and a gray tile roof. On the two sides of the door, there is a group of dragons made of glass embedded in the shadow wall of the eight characters, and the colorful phoenix is depicted on the shadow wall of the eight characters in the door, which is very royal.

When you enter the Ji Gate, you will see Dacheng Hall, which is the main building of the Confucian Temple. The main hall is built on the "convex" abutment, with five rooms wide and three rooms deep, and the front porch rests on the top of the mountain with a single eaves. In the center of the hall hangs a plaque inscribed by Emperor Kangxi, which enshrines statues of Confucius, Yan Yuan, Zi Si, Zeng Shen, Monk and others.

Behind Dacheng Hall, in a small courtyard, Minglun Hall was built in the fourth year of Ming Hongwu (137 1). The front eaves are open, the back eaves are inlaid with walls, the portrait of Confucius is hung in the middle, and a large number of stone tablets are erected on both sides. It used to be a private school, and the halls on both sides were "Zhang" and "Dian Kusi", but now it has become an exhibition hall for displaying stone tablets and statues.

At the northernmost part of the Confucian Temple, on a high platform, stands the majestic Zunjing Pavilion, where Confucian classics were originally stored, which is equivalent to the library of the Confucian Temple. It was built in the 13th year of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty (1500), collapsed during the reign of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty (1736- 1795), and then rebuilt.

2. Dongying Temple

During the reign of the Yuan Dynasty, there were five battalions in Hancheng, namely, East, South, West, North and Middle. Now only Beiying and Dongying are left. Dongying is located behind the Confucian Temple, and there is a Guandi Temple in it, which is called Ying Temple for short. On September 24, 2003, it was announced by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government as the fourth batch of provincial key cultural relics protection units.

The East-West direction of Dongying Temple is, in turn, Shanmen, Guodian, Daidian and Daxiong Hall. The hall and the sacrifice hall are connected together, and the two halls are connected to facilitate drainage. The main hall is dedicated to the statues of Guan Yu, Zhou Cang and Guan Ping, and there are three temples and Doum Palace on the north side, which together form a group of grand buildings.

3. Chenghuang Temple

Through a small door, I came to Temple Lane and saw the Hancheng Temple. It was built in Qin Long in the fifth year of Ming Dynasty (157 1). After continuous repair by later generations, it gradually formed today's pattern and became the largest ancient architectural complex in the ancient city. On June 25th, 20001year, it was announced by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Chenghuang Temple covers an area of about10.5 million square meters, facing south and entering the courtyard three times. Along the central axis, there are important buildings such as Shanmen, Politics and Education Square, Weimingmen, Guangjiantang, Dexintang, Lingyoutang and Hanguangtang in turn, with auxiliary buildings such as wooden archways, theatres and corridors on both sides.

The "Three Temples" in Hancheng are the epitome of local history and culture. It is not only a national AAAA tourist attraction, but also the location of hancheng city Museum. With the deepening of the integration of the "three temples", Confucian culture, Guan Gong culture and City God culture reflect each other and become a tourist attraction with distinctive features and complete services in Hancheng ancient city.
