Brief introduction of Jinwen book award
In 2004, the National Library set up the "Golden Book Award of the National Library", which is held once a year and awarded 10 award-winning books (available) each time. The award object is the Chinese version of the book published in the previous year. The evaluation work is planned and organized by the Organizing Committee, which is mainly composed of the National Library, and the evaluation committee is composed of experts from inside and outside the library. The selection scope includes popular science books in philosophy, social sciences and natural sciences, with emphasis on popular science books that can spread knowledge, cultivate sentiment and improve the public's humanities literacy. Award-winning books are produced through a combination of social voting and expert review. It has been held for eight times so far. Over the past eight years, there have been more than 5,240 participating books, 79 winning books and 309 recommended books in the Golden Book Award of the National Library.
