Yantai Institute of Technology is located in Yantai City, Shandong Province, in the beautiful coastal city of Laizhou. It is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the education administrative department of the State Council.
The school was founded in 2003, formerly known as School of Literature and Economics of Yantai University. In February, 20021year, the Ministry of Education agreed to transform the College of Literature and Economics of Yantai University into Yantai Institute of Technology.
As of September 2020, the school covers an area of 4 1.95 million square meters. The school has 12 departments, 37 undergraduate majors and 13 specialist majors, with 786 full-time teachers.
