Fengpingshan Library mainly collects Chinese books. Feng Pingshan (1860 ~ 193 1), the founder of the University of Hong Kong, was a permanent administrator. During his tenure, he was deeply saddened to see that HKU emphasized English and ignored China culture. We are actively preparing for the Chinese School of the University of Hong Kong. After the establishment of the college, in order to meet the needs of teaching and scientific research of teachers and students, a Chinese library specially collecting Chinese books was donated and opened to the public. Fung ping shan died one year before the opening of 1932. To commemorate his contribution to the Chinese library, the library was named "Fengpingshan Library".
