East China University of Science and Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), located in Yangpu District, China. It is a university jointly established by Shanghai and the Ministry of Education, and is one of the universities supported by "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project".
The school, formerly East China Institute of Chemical Technology, was founded in 1952. 1978 was renamed East China Institute of Chemical Technology, 1985 was renamed East China Institute of Chemical Technology, and 1993 was renamed East China University of Science and Technology. The school covers an area of nearly 850,000 square meters, with beautiful campus environment, advanced facilities and rich libraries.
East China University of Science and Technology has a complete range of disciplines, covering engineering, science, management, literature, law, art and other fields. There are 14 colleges, including materials science and engineering college, environmental science and engineering college, school of economics and management, grammar college, foreign languages college, design college, public affairs college, art and design college, continuing education college and so on.
