The secondary art school affiliated to the Central Academy of Fine Arts (hereinafter referred to as the attached middle school) is the only secondary art school directly under the Ministry of Education in China, which is affiliated to the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The attached middle school was established in 1953. Under the personal advocacy and direct care of famous art educators Mr. Xu Beihong and Mr. Jiang Feng, Mr. Xu Beihong is the first formal secondary art school in New China.
School construction:
In 2005, the Central Academy of Fine Arts built a 73,000 ㎡ school building on 205 mu of land in East Yanjiao, Beijing as a new campus. In 2006, the affiliated middle school moved to Yanjiao campus as a whole. 20 17, the affiliated middle school moved to the new teaching building in Yanjiao campus. The school library has a collection of nearly 6,543,800+volumes, and the teaching reference room contains outstanding student works, graduation works and a number of foreign art college students' works 1953.
With the great concern and strong support of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the leaders of the new affiliated middle school have made overall plans and made continuous improvements in shaping characteristic professional brands, improving the overall level of teachers, improving teaching hardware facilities, strengthening the construction of campus culture and enhancing the effectiveness of students' education. The affiliated middle school has further established a professional teaching curriculum system that meets the requirements of the times and the characteristics of the affiliated middle school, promoted the "school-based curriculum construction" of culture, gradually expanded international art education and art training services, and realized diversified school-running modes.
