Tongren Vocational and Technical College, located in tongren city, Guizhou Province, is a provincial public full-time college. The history of running a school can be traced back to the Agriculture Department of Jiangkou Branch of National No.3 Middle School founded by the Ministry of Education of the National Government in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

In June 2002, with the approval of Guizhou Provincial People's Government, a public full-time general higher vocational college was jointly established by tongren city Agricultural School, tongren city Health School, tongren city Finance School, tongren city Commercial Workers Secondary Vocational School and tongren city Advanced Vocational and Technical School.

The new campus covers an area of 1 160 mu, with 13 technical secondary schools and 50 higher vocational majors. By February 20 16, the school had 13 secondary college branches and 50 higher vocational majors.

In 2002, Tongren's agricultural schools, health schools, financial schools, commercial schools and advanced vocational schools were merged and established, and upgraded to ordinary colleges and universities at the junior college level.
