The so-called parallel title is defined as "specifying the title in another language corresponding to the title in the information source" in China document cataloging rules. That is to say, as a coordinate title, there are three elements: (1) The coordinate title appears in the specified information source. For books, when there is a title page, the designated information source of the title and responsibility statement is the title page. (2) It must be in another language, and Chinese Pinyin cannot be used as a coordinate title. (3) It must correspond to the title and contain no other title information. In book description, coordinate titles can also be called coordinate titles.

Inscription refers to the names carved by the ancients on stone tablets or pilasters to commemorate the entrance to the examination room and the travel itinerary. See Song of Farewell by Tang Zhangji: "May you write your own title everywhere, and one day you will know that you left here."
