At the debate, all factions expressed their opinions freely, and the academic atmosphere of free discussion was very strong. According to historical records, Wisdom Pavilion once held a theological debate between Christianity and Islam, and Ma Meng participated in this academic activity as a scholar. Christian Bishop Siudus made a generous speech and publicly stated his views that were contrary to Islamic teachings. Ma Meng and Islamic scholars didn't mind this, but expressed their views in an equal way. The Wisdom Pavilion also rewards scholars who write books and tell stories, and pays a lot of money for their achievements.
