The present Huize Institute was established in Dayun192265438+February, and was completed in 1924. Because Donglu University was founded by Tang, it was named after his hometown "Huize". Huize Courtyard is the core building of Dayun, imitating the pattern and style of the oldest main building of Paris University in Europe, and it is one of the earlier large-scale western-style buildings in Kunming.

After Dayun University was founded, Hengjiantang was changed into a library, while Zhigongtang was kept as an auditorium. During War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, it became an important center of academic and cultural activities in China.
