Every year, the 11th day of the third lunar month is a traditional festival for Yao people. From the Spring Festival, it is a festival for Yao people to commemorate spring ploughing. On this day, Yao friends will hold green leaves, beat gongs and drums and hold the Spring Festival. People will worship mountains and rivers and pray for good weather, abundant crops, national prosperity and people's peace.

The custom of celebrating the Spring Festival

On March 1 1 day of the lunar calendar, in front of Panwangdian, Chaping Yao Village, Dong Tang Street, Zixing City, local Yao compatriots put on festive costumes, sang and danced, and celebrated the annual "Spring Festival" to make the national culture "alive".

"Opening the Spring Festival" (the 11th day of the third lunar month) is one of the three major festivals of Zixing Yao nationality, and it is also the spring ploughing (ploughing) anniversary of Yao nationality's "opening HarmonyOS system and slash-and-burn cultivation", which is intended to urge the spring to start and pray for good weather and abundant crops.
