The origin of place names
Daxing Palace is the place name of Nanjing, named after the Nanjing Palace of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty was built here. According to the historical records of the Qing Dynasty, the Qianlong Palace was rebuilt in the former site of Jiangning Weaving Office during the reign of Kangxi and Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty.
Jiangning Weaving Department in Qing Dynasty is the location of Daxing Palace, which probably starts from Longpan Middle Road in the east, ends in Beiting Lane in the west, ends in Mianjing Lane, Kexiang Lane and Li Renxiao in the south, and ends in the back street of the Yangtze River in the north (speaking of Zhujiang Road). Both the length and width are in the range of 1 km.
Jiangning Weaving Bureau (official residence and residence of main personnel), Jiangning Weaving House (general's official residence) and Jiangning Weaving Bureau (Nanjing Yunjin Weaving Factory) in Qing Dynasty are collectively called "Jiangning Weaving".
