The acquisition and cataloging department is responsible for the acquisition, processing and cataloging of Chinese and foreign books in the library, which is divided into acquisition group and cataloging group according to the nature of the work. According to the school's teaching and research needs and annual funds, the interview team makes a purchase plan, purchases books in Chinese and foreign languages, appropriately purchases CDs, standards, product samples and other materials, completes the annual procurement task of the whole library, and is responsible for the acceptance of books in the library. The cataloging group processes, classifies and catalogs the accepted books, inputs the book information into the bibliographic database, and sends it to the collection after revision. Book acquisition and cataloguing is the foundation and guarantee of library collection, reading and circulation.

Technical department

The technical department is the center of the modern management of the library, which is mainly responsible for the construction of the computer system and network of the whole library, and the maintenance of the application subsystems and databases of all departments to ensure the normal operation of the business work of all departments in the whole library. At the same time, the technical department is also responsible for the development of library-related software to meet the needs of modern management.

Information consulting department (1-2 area)

The information consulting department is providing information retrieval consulting services for leadership decision-making, scientific research project establishment, achievement appraisal, subject novelty retrieval and online information inquiry. The service contents include: sci-tech novelty retrieval, checking on behalf of others, consulting and authentication of SCI/EI retrieval, database development, introduction and use, network information navigation, domestic and foreign literature delivery, teaching and training of sci-tech information retrieval, information consulting service, self-built database construction, electronic reading, reference book reading and other services. In addition, the information consulting department of the second campus is also responsible for receiving papers and electronic doctoral dissertations, and reviewing, publishing online and submitting guidance.

Reader Service Department (1 Zone 2, Civil Building)

The book lending department is responsible for the borrowing and returning of library books, and implements the integrated management of collection, borrowing and reading, that is, each room is not only the collection room of this kind of books, but also the reading room of this kind of books, and at the same time undertakes the borrowing and returning of this kind of books, which breaks the situation of separation of collection, borrowing and reading in traditional libraries and is a modern library management mode. The book lending department implements all open shelves to facilitate readers to choose books freely. There are reading desks and chairs next to the bookshelf for readers to use, and the exit of each room directly handles the book borrowing procedures. The book lending department is also responsible for readers' library cards, book reservation and interlibrary loan.

National defense engineering literature reading room

CALIS Center: "China Higher Education Document Guarantee System" (CALIS) is a public service system project of Project 2 1 1. Its goal is to establish the academic information network of universities in China on the basis of CERNET and in accordance with the construction principle of "overall planning, rational layout, relative concentration and common guarantee". The center is not only a discipline center, but also an important part of the document information center in Northeast China. It will give full play to its advantages in national defense engineering literature and serve the discipline of national defense engineering and the "2 1 1 engineering" colleges in Northeast China. During the Ninth Five-Year Plan period, the main construction tasks of the center are: purchasing the necessary network service equipment, completing the networking with the information service systems of important national defense scientific research institutions, jointly cataloguing university books and periodicals according to the unified requirements of CALIS project, and introducing and building the national defense engineering characteristic database. To lay a solid foundation for achieving the overall construction goal of "2 1 1 project".

The office is responsible for the daily reception, safety, fire prevention, personnel, accounting and general affairs management of the whole library, and is responsible for obtaining the library card. Office is the guarantee of library logistics.
