Jinan University, referred to as "Jida", is located in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. It is a university established by the Shandong Provincial People's Government of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Education of China. It is a key construction university in Shandong Province. It was selected into the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" and "11plan" of the Ministry of Education, and it is one of the first applied prestigious schools with Shandong characteristics. It has the right to award bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctor's degree and the right to recommend master's degree without examination, and enrolls students nationwide.
