There are two main ways to inherit Beijing nursery rhymes: written literature inheritance and oral inheritance. But with the development of the times, it gradually faded out of people's cultural life. In order to protect Beijing nursery rhymes, many foreign scholars, Chang Hui and many other Beijing writers and folk writers have made contributions. From 65438 to 0958, Xue Shan compiled Beijing Ballad, which was published by Beijing Publishing House. Selected Folk Children's Songs in Beijing, edited by Wang Wenbao, published by Zhejiang People's Publishing House 1982. Zhao Xiaoyang's Old Beijing Ballad was published by Beijing Library Press in 2006. Dong Mengzhi of Beijing Folk Literature and Art Association wrote The History of Contemporary Beijing Ballads, which was published by Contemporary China Publishing House in 2009. Another cultural media company published a CD and provided an audio version for children and teachers. In 2008, Beijing nursery rhymes were listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list.

At the same time, with the help of Zhao Shu, a famous folklore expert, and Beijing Children's Library, the No.1 Primary School affiliated to Xuanwu District Teachers' College collected and sorted out the school-based curriculum "Beijing Nursery Rhymes", and compiled the etiquette knowledge into nursery rhymes, which were taught, studied, passed down and sung in etiquette classes once a week. Other primary schools in Xuanwu District also incorporate Beijing nursery rhymes into their curricula. In class, students learn nursery rhymes, recite nursery rhymes, feel nursery rhymes and create nursery rhymes under the guidance of teachers. The creation and singing of nursery rhymes in Beijing have played a role in promoting tradition and inheriting civilization among minors.
