The library of Polytechnic College of Hebei University of Science and Technology consists of the new campus library and the middle campus library, with a total construction area of 55,000 square meters and about 3,500 reading seats. The new campus library, located in the core area of the school, is a landmark building of the campus, which was officially opened to readers on September 26th, 2009. The library covers an area of nearly 50,000 square meters, and has designed 2.45 million books, 9 paper literature lending areas, academic salons, group discussion rooms, special reading rooms and other 20 characteristic areas, which are distributed on the east and west sides of each lending area on the 4th to 7th floors, so as to facilitate readers to consult special materials and carry out special discussions.
