Southwest Forestry University is not two universities, but a university.
Southwest Forestry University, the first batch of enrollment in Yunnan, can be said that Southwest Forestry University is a university. For candidates outside Yunnan, if Southwest Forestry University is the second batch of undergraduate enrollment, it is considered that Southwest Forestry University is the second institution.
Southwest Forestry University, called Xilin for short, is located in Kunming, the spring city. It is the only independent organizational system in western China, which is mainly composed of forestry, forestry engineering and landscape architecture.
Undergraduate colleges and universities are characterized by biological and environmental science and engineering, aiming at the coordinated development of science, engineering, agriculture, literature, law and management, and supported by the national education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents, the education and training plan for outstanding engineers, and the basic capacity building project of central and western universities.
School 1938 originated from the Department of Forestry of Yunnan University, and 1958 was founded in Kunming Agriculture and Forestry College. 1973, the Forestry Department of Kunming Agriculture and Forestry College merged with Beijing Forestry College, Beijing Forestry College moved to Kunming, and Yunnan Forestry College was established. 1983 was renamed Southwest Forestry College, which is one of the six regional forestry undergraduate colleges directly under the Ministry of Forestry.
In 2000, the school was transformed from a university directly under the former State Forestry Administration into a central and local * * * building, with provincial management as the main part. 20 10 was renamed as Southwest Forestry University.
