The Library of Ocean University of China (including Laoshan Mountain and Yushan Mountain) was established in June 1924. The first curator was Mr. Liang Shiqiu, a famous essayist and translator in China. By the end of 1936, there were 87,800 books, including 65,000 Chinese books and 22,500 foreign books.
