The library has made great efforts to strengthen the construction of networked and digital literature resources, adjusted the types of literature resources construction in time, and increased the collection of electronic resources year by year, which has achieved remarkable results. After several years of construction, all kinds of electronic documents in the library have gradually become the main form of academic information resources, and the digital document information resource system has reached a certain scale. As of August, 2007, the total amount of books and documents collected by Southern Medical University was 6,543.8+0.524 million (924,000 paper documents and 600,000 electronic books), and the average amount of documents per student reached 6,543.8+0.006. There are 924,000 paper documents in the collection, including 810.5 million Chinese paper books and 0/0.9 million foreign paper books. The library has complete service functions and various modern service methods, which can provide readers with services such as literature borrowing, reading, copying, CD retrieval, medical information retrieval training, e-mail sending and receiving, and sci-tech novelty retrieval consultation. The library LAN is connected to the campus network and connected to the Internet.

Our library is a member library of China Medical College Library Association, and has established book exchange relations with 170 domestic units and more than 60 foreign units in 12 countries and regions.
