Chengdu University of Technology is a public full-time general undergraduate school headed by Sichuan Provincial People's Government. It is the national 13th Five-Year Plan for the Construction of Application-oriented Undergraduate Universities, the first batch of pilot units for comprehensive education reform in Sichuan Province, and the first batch of pilot units for the education and training of outstanding engineers and the overall transformation, development and reform of undergraduate colleges in Sichuan Province.

Founded in 19 13, the school is the first industrial school held in Sichuan Province after the Revolution of 1911.
