Xinyang Teachers College, referred to as Xinyang Teachers College for short, is the first undergraduate college founded in Henan Province after China's reform and opening up. It is one of the two key normal universities in Henan Province. It is a shining business card of higher education in Dabie Mountain area, and is praised as "the cradle of teachers" by the famous social activist and educator Mr. Fei Xiaotong.
Founded in 1975, the school is Xinyang Branch of Kaifeng Teachers College (now Henan University). In 1978, it was approved by the State Council as a scientific system and renamed as its current name. In 1998, it was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee as the authorized unit for master's degree, and in 20 18, it was approved as the authorized construction unit for provincial doctoral degree.
Conditions for running a school:
There are two campuses in tan shan and Huaihe River, covering an area of more than 2,500 mu, with a total construction area of more than 900,000 square meters. The library has 2.83 million paper books, 2.27 million electronic books and 58 digital resource libraries. The number of accessible resource databases is 152, and there are 4652 Chinese and foreign periodicals. Various laboratories, multimedia classrooms and microteaching fully meet the needs of education, teaching and students' growth.
