Brief introduction of The Journey to the West

The Journey to the West is one of the four classical novels of China. It is an excellent fairy tale novel, which is a combination of mass creation and literati creation.

The novel begins with seven stories about "making havoc in Heaven", and puts the image of the Monkey King at the top of the book. From the eighth to the twelfth, I wrote stories about Tathagata, Guanyin becoming a monk, Kevin·Z descending dragons and the birth of Tang Priest, explaining the origin of Buddhist scriptures. From 13th to the end of this book, it tells the story that the monkey born of the immortal stone fell at Bodhi Gate and was named the Monkey King. He practiced hard to become a curse, but he was crushed under the Five Elements Mountain because of drunkenness. Five hundred years later, Guanyin told the Monkey King the way to save himself: He should learn from Tang Sanzang's Western Heaven, be his apprentice, and he will be saved when he achieves a positive result. The Monkey King followed Tang Sanzang on the road and met a monster on the way. Together with Bajie and Friar Sand, they embarked on a arduous journey to learn from western classics.

The writing time was in the middle of Ming Dynasty, when the social economy was prosperous, but the politics was deteriorating and people's lives were difficult. The author criticizes this unreasonable phenomenon through stories. * * * One hundred times, more than 600,000 words. Divided into titles, each title is presented in a neat double way.

The story tells the story of Tang Sanzang and his disciples the Monkey King, Pig Bajie, Friar Sand and Bai who went to the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures after 81 difficulties.

The content is divided into three parts:

The first part (one to seven times) introduces the Monkey King's miraculous work, causing havoc in heaven;

The second part (eight to twelve times) tells the reason why Sanzang learned the scriptures;

The third part (chapters 13 to 100) is the main body of the whole story, and it is written that Wukong and others finally arrived in the Western Heaven to retrieve the scriptures.

The Journey to the West's artistic features.

First, the characters have both personality and * * *; Magic, popularity, longevity, and integration. To give a few examples, such as the image of the Monkey King, he was born immortal. He is the immortal stone of Huaguo Mountain, with fairy embryos in it and turned into a stone monkey in the wind. When he was born, he could walk and crawl, his eyes were golden, he shot at the house and made the gods cry. From these descriptions, we can see immortality. But at the same time, he has a demon spirit.

The second feature: skillfully combining the story, in the sharp contradictions and conflicts, fully and profoundly showing the complex inner world of the characters, highlighting the characterization of the characters, making it vivid and vivid. The more complicated the struggle, the more fully the inner expression of the characters will be. With magnificent and fantastic wings, the author takes us into one fairy cave after another, into the mountains and rivers, and launches life-and-death struggles again and again, in which he describes both sides and shapes characters. ? The Monkey King's image is gradually matured, enriched and perfected in the constant struggle with monsters.

The third feature is to attack reality with humor and satire, which increases the interest of the story. ? Humor and satire abound in The Journey to the West's books, so Hu Shi called it "game pen and ink". Let's look at the Monkey King. He is both a hero and humorous. He doesn't look old-fashioned, but he is humorous and plays jokes on everyone. It is impolite to meet the jade emperor asking for help in the heavenly palace. It is also impolite to leave after singing. Moreover, if his demands are not met, he will toss and turn, and the jade emperor is afraid of him. He went to borrow Dan, and the old man saidno. He said, well, it's fine if you say no, but don't blame me. The old man was afraid and quickly took out a pill for him. Because the old man knows that if you don't give this Dan, there may never be another Dan. The Monkey King's way of speaking is humorous.

The fourth artistic feature: to highlight the character with vivid and appropriate dialogue. For example, the Monkey King has a bad temper and is anxious about monkeys. Sometimes he is eager for success, greedy for profit, and likes to listen to flattery. So Zhu Bajie ran him several times with words. The Monkey King was thrown out, but Pig Bajie came back with a word, and finally saved Master from Kuixing Huang Paoguai.

The fifth artistic feature is that although the novel is a masterpiece, it consists of many short stories. Zheng Zhenduo once said that this organization is like an earthworm, each section can be independent, and it can still survive after cutting off a section and a ring. The so-called "eighty-one difficulty", if you think about it, there are more than forty complete stories. It is in this way that the author, through more than 40 related and independent stories, has formed a colorful adventure map to the west and built a long corridor of its artistic buildings, which is dizzying.

18, Tathagata catching Sun Shengda is a piece of cake.

Excerpts from The Journey to the West's Good Words:

Surfing waves, jumping waves, spitting fog, blowing wind, looking for snakes and weeding.

Fly kites, relax the starry sky and wash your mind.

To solve the problem of Sumeru Caoxi Road, the danger is endless, and the clouds are deep and nine mountains.

Thousands of feet ice cliff five-leaf lotus leaf hanging incense.

Grinding bricks is a mirror, and snow is food.

Tianlong manages four virtues around colorful flowers and rains.

Explain the origin, three times, wonderful classics and five meanings.

Reflections on The Journey to the West.

The Journey to the West is one of the Four Great Classical Novels in China, and encyclopedia americana thinks it is "a fairy tale with rich contents and incisive thoughts".

The first seven chapters of this book mainly introduce the birth, seeking Tao, disturbing the Dragon Palace, stirring the underworld and disturbing the Heavenly Palace of the Monkey King, the central figure of the novel, until he is crushed by the Tathagata at the foot of Wuxing Mountain, which lays the foundation for the development of the central story. From August to1February, I wrote the life story of another important figure in the novel, Tang Priest, and also wrote Tathagata, Guanyin becoming a monk, Kevin·Z descending dragons, Emperor Taizong entering ghosts, and Xuanzang offering imperial edicts to explain the origin of boxing, which are juxtaposed with the first seven chapters in structure to prepare for the central story. Chapters 13 to 100 are the main stories of Xitianquan, including 465,438+0 relatively independent short stories, which mainly describe various contradictions and struggles in boxing, including the struggle between the boxer and the demon, the contradiction and struggle between the boxer and the natural environment, and the contradiction and struggle within the boxer. Structurally, centering on the activities of the Boxers, they began to take turns to take care of each other, with strange twists and turns and suspense, until they experienced 8 1 difficulty.

The Monkey King in this book left a deep impression on me: because he made a scene in the Heavenly Palace, he was put under the Five Elements Mountain by the Tathagata. Fortunately, the natural disaster was satisfied and returned to Buddhism; Besides, he conceals evil and promotes good. On the way, he made meritorious deeds by refining demons, began to make a good start and a good end, and became an anti-Buddha. Pig Bajie turned out to be the Tianhe Water God and Marshal Tian Peng. Because he drank too much to play Chang 'e at the flat peach party, he was banished to the underworld and reborn as a beast. Fortunately, he protected the holy monk on the road, but he was stubborn and lustful. Because of his meritorious service, he is an altar cleaner. Sha Wujing, who was originally the general of the shutter door, was demoted to the lower bound for breaking a glass lamp at the flat peach party and fell into the Liusha River, hurting people and committing crimes. Fortunately, he converted to Buddhism, sincerely respected the holy monk, led a horse to climb the mountain, and became a golden arhat.

I think every character in the book is worth learning. The Monkey King is highly skilled, upright and brave, and loyal to his master. I want to learn from him, not afraid of danger. Tang Priest is persistent and firm. I want to learn from him and I can't give up. Pig is lazy, but honest. I want to learn from him and be honest and trustworthy. Friar Sand doesn't talk much, but he works hard and doesn't shout "tired". I want to learn from him. I am willing to bear hardships, not afraid of being tired, and I am more diligent.

The four masters and apprentices are all western boxing, and they are persistent and worth learning. Along the way, they climbed many mountains, walked through many Woods and defeated many goblins. What a difficult trip this is. They never give up. Isn't this spirit worth learning from all of us? Thought of here, I can't help but bow my head. It was so hard for them that they all survived. What can't be overcome? Is the difficulty I met too small compared with it?

A good book can affect a person's life. Journey to the West is such a book!
