Harbin Far East University of Technology Library was founded in 2003, and the new library was completed and put into use in 2008. The building covers an area of13,010 square meter, with 3,000 reading seats. There are 850,000 printed books, 553,000 electronic books and 265 printed newspapers and periodicals. Using digital resources such as Wang Zhi CNKI digital resources, VIP periodical database, Superstar electronic library, Shansi electronic library, Goethe digital lending system, and 4K electronic lending platform for journals, a collection information resource system combining paper resources with electronic digital resources, real collections with virtual collections has been established, which basically meets the needs of talent cultivation in schools.

There are sunshine hall, training room, literature lending room, newspaper reading room, stacks, study room and office on the second floor of the library. The third floor is the science and technology lending room, sample reading room, social science lending room, foreign language reading room and self-study area. There are 500 multifunctional academic lecture halls, archives, stacks, study rooms and consulting rooms on the first floor.
