The head of the Chinese Braille Library said that it will constantly improve and enrich its functions, and strive to build the Chinese Braille Library into a cultural, scientific and educational resource center and knowledge service center for the blind in China, and an important base for humanitarian education for the public and a window for foreign cultural exchanges. Zhang Haidi, chairman of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, said at the opening ceremony that the cultural undertakings for the blind contain humanitarian connotations and reflect the social development and civilization progress of China.
