Long-term commitment to the combination of basic natural science and geological science, promoting the development of geological science to precision science, and opening up five innovative academic fields. (1) multivariate analysis of geology and geochemistry. The numerical and geometric characteristics of multi-component and multi-factor geological system are studied by multivariate statistical analysis, and the geological process and field are studied by random process and random field. (2) Regional geochemistry. Based on the theory of dissipative structure, the regional geochemical theory is put forward. (3) Metallogenic dynamics. The research on the formation mechanism of the deposit is raised to the dynamic level, so that the research on the genesis of the deposit moves from qualitative to quantitative and from static to dynamic. (4) Complexity of metallogenic system. A new metallogenic theory and method-"fractal growth of chaotic edge metallogenic dynamic system" is put forward. In the study of the genesis and metallogenic regularity of ore deposits, the traditional ore deposit science has been promoted to the height of nonlinear and complex science.
