The Library of China Academy of Social Sciences (Document Information Center) was formerly the Information Research Office of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences of China Academy of Sciences, which was established in 1957. 1963, renamed as academic information laboratory; 1977, the Institute of Information of China Academy of Social Sciences was established on the basis of academic information laboratory; 1985 10 the information institute merged with the preparatory group of the library and information center of the institute to form the document and information center; 1992 10 was renamed as the document information center; 65438-0994, the Library of China Academy of Social Sciences was established. At present, the Library and Document Information Center of China Academy of Social Sciences are one entity with two names.
