The earliest activities of the real library actually originated from the "Stop Violence Organization" founded by five young people in Copenhagen, Denmark. In July, 2000, at the invitation of the Roskidd Music Festival in Denmark, the organization held an activity called "Real Library" and lent 75 real books to interact with the audience.
