Introduction to the former site of Guangzhou Peasant Movement Workshop;

The former site of Guangzhou Peasant Movement Workshop is located at No.42, Zhongshan 4th Road. The former site is Panyu Gong Xue, built at 1370. This is a solemn and quaint building complex. From south to north, there are Lingxingmen, Arch Bridge, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall and Temple in turn, with magnificent buildings such as Fairy Gallery on both sides. The whole building consists of red walls, yellow tiles, ceramic colored sculptures, cornices and arches, and stone carvings. Ancient trees such as kapok, bodhi, longan and murraya are tall and lush.

Guangzhou Peasant Movement Workshop was held six times during the first cooperation between China and Guangzhou. The first five directors were Peng Pai, Luo Qi Garden, Ruan Xiaoshan and Tan. Their addresses are Yuexiu South Road and Gaodong Avenue. The sixth session was held here from May to September, 1926, with Mao Zedong as the director and more than 20 teachers including Chu Xiao, Peng Pai, etc. 327 students from more than 20 provinces and autonomous regions studied the theory and methods of the peasant movement here and received strict military training. After graduation, they went to all parts of the country, led the peasants in the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal struggle, and made great contributions to the China revolution.

The memorial hall was built in 1953, and its name was inscribed by Zhou Enlai. The memorial hall has been repaired according to the original appearance of the agricultural lecture hall, and the classrooms, academic affairs office, military training department, library, director's office and student dormitory have all been restored. 196 1 was announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
