Gigi Lai, the ancestor, moved to Hunan from E-neck Daqiu, Shang Zhen, Taihe County, Jiangxi Province at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty for fleeing from famine. Ethnic groups are distributed in Huaihua, Chenxi, Yuanling, Xupu and Wugang. By 1948, it has been passed down for 27 generations, exceeding *** 1000 people. The ancestral temple is in Dingtong Township, Huaihua.
