Judging from the donation content, the focus of Ningbo Gang's donation is education, medical care, public welfare, culture, sports and other social undertakings. Among them, education accounts for more than 70% of the total donation.
Zhenhai, there are traces of Ningbo gang donation projects everywhere. Zhongxing Middle School, Theron Middle School, Zhaolong Primary School, Shaw Primary School, Shi Zhuang Primary School, Renai Middle School, Zhang Hexiang Primary School, Zhenhai Middle School, Vocational Education Center, etc. were all donated by Ningbo Gang, or donated to set up scholarships and scholarship funds.
While donating money for the construction of hometown, Ningbo Gang also set up enterprises in hometown. At present, there are 3,000 foreign-funded enterprises in Ningbo, 70% of which are directly invested by Ningbo Gang or built by Ningbo Gang to introduce foreign capital. It has made important contributions to the local economic development.
So far, 28 overseas Ningbo citizens have been awarded the model title of loving hometown in Zhejiang Province, and 69 people have been awarded the title of honorary citizen of Ningbo City, of which 55 are members of provincial, municipal and county CPPCC.
Ningbo gang members not only donated their hometown construction enthusiastically, but also donated the land of China. According to incomplete statistics, Ningbo has donated more than 5.5 billion yuan to the whole country, benefiting 3/kloc-0 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. Among them, more than 80% were donated to education.
In particular, the donations made by several representatives of Ningbo Gang, such as Wang Kuancheng, Chen and Zhao An, have attracted worldwide attention.
Run Run Run Shaw: China is the first person to donate money for education.
According to the latest data provided by the Ministry of Education, from 1985 to 2003, Shao Yifu donated more than 400 projects including universities, primary and secondary schools, normal schools and vocational and technical schools, covering all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China, with a total grant of HK$ 31500,000.
Shao Yifu loves his motherland and cares about his hometown. His donation in Ningbo exceeded 40 million RMB. His construction projects include Ningbo University West Campus Library, Teaching Building, Vocational Education Center, Ningbo Run Run Shaw Art Kindergarten School, Shaw Vocational High School, Zhongxing Middle School, Shaw Theatre, and his ancestral home Kangyuan.
Among the compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and overseas Chinese who donated money for education in the Mainland, Mr. Shao Yifu has the largest number of donations, the largest number of projects and a long duration, and is known as "the first person in China who donated money to promote education". This is something that all of us in Ningbo should be proud of.
