The chromatography of vascular plants in Qilian Mountain was published.
A few days ago, the reporter learned from the Institute of Environment and Engineering in Cold and Arid Regions of Chinese Academy of Sciences that the series of alpine plant diversity research series "Color Atlas of Vascular Plants in Qilian Mountain (600720, Guba)" edited by Feng Qi, a researcher of the Institute, was published, which filled the gap in the Qilian Mountain plant research atlas.

According to incomplete statistics, there are about 200 species of vascular plants/kloc-0 in Qilian Mountain, which is one of the regions with the richest plant diversity in northwest China.

The researchers conducted many centralized investigations on the areas with rich species diversity in Qilian Mountain, and collected more than 30,000 pictures successively in Tianzhu Ancient City Forest Area, Ma Xia Forest Area, Haxilin District, Wuwei Xiyinghe Forest Area, Qilian Mountain, Menyuan Mountain and Datong Mountain in Qinghai, and selected 2 196 pictures to edit the Color Atlas of Vascular Plants in Qilian Mountain. The Chinese names of plants in this atlas are consistent with Flora of China, with Latin scientific names and Chinese name indexes.

It is understood that the early research on plants in Qilian Mountain was mainly carried out by Russian explorers. They explored China four times and entered Qilian Mountain three times, and collected a large number of specimens. Later, scientists from the United States and Hungary also collected plant specimens in Qilian Mountain. The collection and research of plants in Qilian Mountains by China scholars mainly happened after 1949.
