Looking back at the history of the school, people are more deeply moved and full of lofty sentiments.
The following narrative is divided into four parts:
(1) Vicissitudes and great changes (1938- 1949)
(2) the era of steady development (1950-1965)
(3) Hard journey (1966— 1994)
(4) Years of Victory (1995-2008) (1938-1949)
1.In the mid-1940s, Nanshan District, located at the junction of Chaozhou, Puhui and Huizhou, had a population of 65,438+700,000. People live in poverty and are backward in education.
At that time, there were only three junior high schools in Chaoyang, namely, Jianshi County, No.1 Junior High School in County and Liudu Junior High School in District, and high schools had not yet been established.
2. 1935, Nanshan Reclamation Area was changed to Nanshan Administration. The people strongly demand the establishment of a junior high school in Nanshan to solve the problem of students' learning difficulties. After many brewing, Nanshan Administration decided to establish a junior middle school.
3. Liang Ying Middle School was established in August, 1938. At that time, the name of the school was "Nanshan Public Junior High School", which was then managed by Nanshan Administration. The first president, Mr. Huang Pushan (from Hepu Town, Liang Ying). Because we couldn't find a venue at that time, we had to borrow an ancestral temple in Hepu Township (located in the present Liang Ying Park, opposite to the west side of Liang Ying Hospital) as a temporary school building.
Although the school building is very simple, it enrolled a class of Grade One 123 students, and started classes in September of that year 1.
4.1Feb. 939, the school site was moved to the newly-built Folk Education Center in Liang Ying Park for the first time.
In September, 1940, the school building was relocated for the second time and moved to the headquarters of the former Liang Ying Middle School. Although the school building at this time has improved, it is still very narrow. Nevertheless, from 194 1 to 43 years, the number of students enrolled in the school is still increasing gradually, and the number of students enrolled in these three years is 30 1, 332 and 345 respectively.
5. 1944 12. The Japanese invaders wandered inland in Puhui and Jieyang counties twice, and the last time they went to Britain and nearby towns and villages, they burned and looted, and the people were in dire straits. In this case, the school was closed for half a year.
6.1in the spring of 945, the Japanese invaders invaded England, and the school was destroyed, and the school building was full of holes. In August of the same year, the Japanese invaders surrendered and the school had to resume classes.
7.1May, 949, Britain was liberated. Just after liberation, the people's democratic regime has not been established, Nanshan Middle School has not taken over, and there is no source of teaching funds. So from May' 49 to June' 50, 1, the school was closed again.
8. Nanshan Middle School is really difficult, such as books, instruments and teaching AIDS. These are extremely difficult to buy, and it is impossible to do experiments in physical chemistry class; There are no flip charts in animal and plant classes.
However, at that time, President Huang Pushan was full of confidence, overcame many difficulties, persisted in running schools and persisted in enrolling students. 4 1 to 43, in addition to attending classes, the principal also organized teachers to take students to the countryside to make propaganda speeches to resist Japan and save the country. Students' patriotic enthusiasm is also very high.
9 Nanshan Middle School was established in 1949, and * * * enrolled three-year junior high school classes 15 (no senior high school). In recent years, there are 4 19 junior high school graduates. The school building has also expanded from the main building to the east and west sides. ( 1950 — 1965)
10. 1950 In February, Guangdong Provincial People's Government revoked Nanshan Administration, set up Liangying District in Chaoyang, and merged the school into Chaoyang No.2 Middle School to become "Liang Ying Branch of Chaoyang No.2 Middle School". The party and the people's government have given strong support to the school. After several repairs, the original school building was further widened, and classrooms and dormitories were expanded. At this time, the conditions for running a school were obviously improved and developed compared with those before liberation.
After 1952, the county education bureau allocated funds for maintenance and expansion several times. The school has classrooms, dormitories, living rooms and other auxiliary facilities, with a total construction area of 8506 square meters.
February 1 1. 1952, there are 6 junior high schools with 272 students. The school bought some books and instruments at that time. There are two bookcases in the library (1 cabinet was purchased in No.2 Middle School) and two instrument cabinets. Since then, the school has initially changed the previous situation of "poor and white".
12. 1954, the school ran 8 classes with 390 students, and the teaching order began to stabilize that year. School leaders attach importance to teaching quality and make an attendance sheet for administrative leaders every week. Teachers are required to speak Mandarin in class, and leaders take notes in class. In this way, teaching of all subjects has been improved.
The school also requires teachers to listen to each other and exchange teaching experience in time. The teaching style at that time was still good. Students who enter the school can stay, and the consolidation rate of school places is high.
13.1In the autumn of 965, Chaoyang Education Bureau established "Chaoyang Agricultural School" in Longling, England according to the education situation at that time. But soon, the situation changed. Chaoyang Agricultural School was closed and its school building (covering an area of 20 mu) was transferred to our school for use. Therefore, since September 1957, the school has established "Liangying Longling Branch" in Liangying Longling (the branch has 12 classrooms and several teachers' rooms). Starting from 1959, the school was renamed as "Liang Ying Middle School in Chaoyang County".
14. during this period, the school has developed steadily from the scale of running a school to the construction of school buildings, and the number of students has gradually increased. During the four years from 55 to 58, the number of junior high school graduates was 85, 182, 184, 196 respectively, and in the first half of 1966, the school *.
At that time, the benefits of the school were deeply recognized by the society. (1966 to 1994)
On 15. 1966 Like all parts of the country, the school launched the "Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution" movement, and many teachers went out in series. 1967, the school movement was in full swing, some teachers were criticized, the school rules and regulations were abolished, and the teaching order was chaotic.
By June 65438+1968 10, the school was completely closed. It became a place of factional struggle, which made people panic.
16. From May 1968, the school was renamed "Chaoyang Hongqi Middle School". At this time, classes will be resumed in an all-round way, and high school classes will be added to become a complete middle school with a two-year academic system. According to the requirements of my superiors at that time, I ran a farm while running a school, and worked while attending classes.
17. 1969 onwards, the school offers politics, Chinese, mathematics, history, basic agricultural knowledge, electromechanical, chemical engineering, physical education and other disciplines, and junior high schools offer fine arts, music and other disciplines; English is offered separately in senior high schools. Until 1978, high schools closed specialized courses and resumed regular classes. At this point, the courses offered in junior and senior high schools are basically the same as before the Cultural Revolution.
After the downfall of the Gang of Four, the school set things right and the teaching order gradually returned to normal. By 1977, with the arrival of science spring, school education was full of vitality, the teaching enthusiasm of teachers and students was fully exerted, and the quality of education was fundamentally improved. During this period, the name of the school was restored to "Liang Ying Middle School in Chaoyang County".
In the same year, the national college entrance examination system was restored. From 1977 to 1979, the teaching atmosphere in Britain and China was very strong, and the teaching quality was obviously improved. In the past three years, the school has admitted 35 students to junior college, technical secondary school and normal school (8 in 77, 20 in 78 and 7 in 79).
19. From September 1979, the school started a four-year high school cram school.
According to statistics, during the nine years from 1977 to 1985, two English middle schools sent 40 graduates to institutions of higher learning and technical secondary schools. From liberation to 1985, there were 17 high school graduates and 33 junior high school graduates.
20. Due to the limited number of enrollment places in colleges and universities, in order to solve the problem of high school students' difficulty in entering higher schools after graduation, the County Education Bureau decided to change some rural middle schools in our county into vocational high schools, so that students can take vocational courses at the high school stage (the courses are not prescribed by their superiors, and each school sets them according to its own conditions, and there is no unified teaching material).
2 1. Since 1983, our school has been listed as one of the pilot schools for running vocational high schools. At that time, the educational system of vocational high schools was two or three years, while that of our school was three years.
At the beginning of the vocational high school class, the vocational courses chosen by the school were household appliances and arts and crafts. Because it was difficult to hire full-time teachers of these two majors at that time, we chose talents on the spot. At that time, the physics teacher was in the home appliance class, and the art teacher Chen was in the arts and crafts class. In addition, the cultural courses offered in vocational high schools (there is no uniform provision above) include politics, Chinese, English, mathematics, physics, chemistry and physical education.
22. The higher authorities did not set the college entrance examination task for vocational high schools. After graduation, students can take the college entrance examination. Mainly take liberal arts and vocational high schools, such as electrician, art and physical education. Students from vocational high schools come from all over Chaoyang, such as Haimen, Du Jing, Guiyu, Tongyu, Chendian, Simapu, Liang Ying, Xiashan and Gurao.
23. In order to support vocational high schools, the county education bureau has allocated funds for many times to help schools solve some difficulties in specialty setting, such as buying radio components, circuit boards and televisions. In home appliances, as well as buying avatars, easels, sketching tools, etc. In arts and crafts. It promotes the normal class of vocational courses and makes the school vocational courses have their own characteristics. After that, the school took further professional courses such as electrician and audio technology, and the effect was very good.
Although few students graduate from vocational high schools, only two or three students can go to school every year, and all of them are sports, art, home appliances and so on. But after graduation, students can generally learn a skill. For example, Xiao Songqing, Jin Zhenchuang and Hou Jiabin, the first graduates, all became technicians of big companies in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and some of them set up their own repair shops and craft manufacturing companies.
25. Vocational high schools have been further developed throughout the county. By 1985, eight schools in this county had become vocational high schools. Because our school 1983 and 1984 have a three-year system, 1985 was decided by the superior to be a two-year system, and 1987 was changed to a three-year system. Therefore, in 1987, two high school classes in our school graduated at the same time, and in 1989, there was no graduating class. Until 1987, vocational high schools adopted a three-year system. After this 1989, there will be a senior three graduating class every year.
26. With the vigorous development of education, Liang Ying Middle School, as a big town in Chaoyang County, has fallen far behind the requirements of the situation.
1993, the "Liang Ying Middle School Construction Committee" was established under the leadership of Liangying Town Government, and donated money to compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao and people of insight from all walks of life to build a new school building in Liang Ying Middle School.
27. The above feat has won wide support and support from all walks of life, and donations have been made in succession. During the preparatory process, * * * more than 1700 people participated in the donation, amounting to more than 4 million yuan.
28.1In the autumn of 1993, the new school building of Liang Ying Middle School broke ground. 1994 1 menstrual period was approved by the superior, and the school name was changed to Chaoyang No.3 Middle School. ( 1995 —20 12)
29. By August 1995, the first phase of the project had been completed. The new school building covers an area of 60 mu, including teaching building, experimental building, office building, ladder classroom, canteen and so on. , the construction area is about 6,543,800+0.9 million square meters.
1September 7, 1995, all the teachers and students moved into the new school building. .
30. The original 12 teaching class, with more than 600 students and 6 1 faculty, has soared to 32 teaching classes, 17 14 students and 129 faculty. Since then, it has become a complete middle school integrating ordinary high schools, vocational high schools and junior high schools.
3 1. Starting from this year, the school began to recruit ordinary high school classes, and vocational high school classes have also increased compared with before, including computer classes, accounting classes, English major classes, kindergarten teacher classes and so on. Since 1996, the school has started a three-year preschool normal class. It was not until 200 1 that the last kindergarten teacher class graduated that the vocational high school class ended.
32. Looking back on the nine-year history of vocational high school from 1993 to 200 1, the school not only sent some talents to higher-level schools, but also graduated students learned a skill from different levels. For example, most of the students in kindergarten classes are employed by various kindergartens in the society. After investigation, most students are qualified for their teaching work. Therefore, it should be affirmed that in the process of running a vocational high school, the school has certain school-running characteristics.
Since 1995, the school has been recruiting teachers from home and abroad every year, in view of the growing scale of the school and the weak teachers (especially senior high school teachers). Among them, 1996, 1997 and 1998, President Luo De 'an personally went to Chaoyang Talent Exchange Center and hired more than 40 foreign teachers. Since 1998, the scale of ordinary high schools has expanded rapidly. 1999 to 2003, President Guiheng Li personally went to Guangzhou Normal University, Shaanxi Normal University and other places to recruit dozens of professional teachers with undergraduate degrees. Enriched the teachers in schools and high schools. Most of these teachers have high academic qualifications, professional level and teaching ability. By 2004, there were 48 foreign teachers in the school.
34. In order to stabilize the teaching order, maintain school safety and prevent outsiders from interfering with teaching, the school has set up a security team to be responsible for school security. Under the principal's office, the administrative organs of the school are divided into guidance office, teaching and research office, political and educational office, physical and health office, general affairs office and psychological consultation room.
35. Over the past few years, the school has implemented quality education, offered the whole course and offered the second classroom activities. According to students' specialties, interest groups such as ball games, music, dance, art and computer are organized to develop students' personality and promote their physical and mental health.
Since 1996, the school has organized an art festival every year to show the achievements of quality education in the school.
June 36.5438+February 2000, the school was rated as the first-class school in Chaoyang City. At the end of 2003, it successfully passed the re-evaluation and acceptance of Chaonan District Education Bureau.
In 2003, with the withdrawal of Chaoyang from the city, our school was named "Liang Ying Middle School in Chaonan District of Shantou City".
38. At present, the school covers an area of 104 mu, and all teaching facilities are basically complete. Among them, there are 3 physics laboratories, 2 chemistry laboratories, biology laboratories 1 each, reading rooms 1 each, 2 multimedia classrooms, language rooms 1 each and 4 computer rooms. In addition, there are 1 music and dance studio, botanical garden, art room, psychological consultation room, school history room, electronic courseware making room, and the track and field of 400-meter circular track has also been basically completed.
39. The school has an elegant and spectacular appearance, and the teaching quality has been steadily improved. The college entrance examination and senior high school entrance examination have reached a higher level one year, making it the largest ordinary complete middle school with remarkable educational benefits in Chaonan District.
With the care and support of the higher authorities and the joint efforts of the teachers, students and staff of the whole school, the school successfully passed the evaluation of "Shantou First-class School Evaluation Group" in February 2004. From 2006 to 2008, the school carried out the research on the key topic "How to carry out inquiry learning in ordinary township middle schools" and passed the acceptance.
