Brief introduction to novels
The novel The Wandering Earth tells the story that the process of converting hydrogen into helium in the sun suddenly accelerates and mankind is facing extinction. Countries cooperated to form a Coalition government and decided to implement a grand plan for 2500 years: to build a planetary engine and push the earth out of the solar system. However, "the tides caused by the acceleration of the earth's engine engulfed two-thirds of the big cities in the northern hemisphere, and the global high temperature brought by the engine melted the polar glaciers."
Faced with the threat of death, human beings become pessimistic and helpless, and the doomsday mentality breeds. However, after wandering safely for more than 300 years, people found that the sun had not changed, so they began to suspect that the "wandering earth" plan was just a conspiracy of the Coalition government. In the end, rumors and suspicions ignited the fire of rebellion that spread around the world.
Just as people were dancing for the victory of the uprising, the sun shone with helium. The novel highlights the helplessness, pain, fear and despair of the homeless when their homes are destroyed, reflects the smallness of people in front of nature and the universe, and focuses on the situation of "people in disaster"
