Mo Yan's education is that he didn't graduate from primary school.

Mo Yan primary school dropped out of school in the fifth grade because of the "Cultural Revolution" and worked in the countryside for 10 years, mainly engaged in agriculture, planting sorghum, cotton, grazing cattle and mowing grass. When there were no books to read during the Cultural Revolution, he even read Xinhua Dictionary, especially the new words in the dictionary. Later, Mo Yan spent the Cultural Revolution with the book A Brief History of China, and then carried the book out of his hometown. From 65438 to 0976, Mo Yan joined the China People's Liberation Army, and served as monitor, security clerk, librarian, teacher and officer. During his four years as a librarian in the army, Mo Yan read a lot of literary books and read all the 1000 literary books in the library. He has also read many books on philosophy and history, including Hegel's Logic and Marx's Capital.
