How to check the book number of a book?
The old version of the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) consists of 10 digits, and the new version consists of 13 digits (three EAN digits are added before the original 10 digits). A * * * is divided into five segments, separated by four connectors or four spaces. The meaning of each number is introduced as follows:

1, the first paragraph is a 3-digit EAN number, usually 978 or 979, which is the code of the book product.

2. The second paragraph is the country and language code, which consists of 1-5 digits, taking into account the country and language of the book. For example, the country code of books published in the United States is 0, 1 for English, and 7 is the code used in Chinese mainland publications.

3. The third paragraph is the publishing house code. It is distributed to different publishers by ISBN distribution center in the country or region where the book belongs. The bigger the publishing house, the more books it publishes, and the shorter the serial number, which can be 2-5 digits.

4. The fourth paragraph is the book serial number, which is the book serial number drawn up by the publishing house and can be divided into 1-6 digits. In principle, the bigger the publishing house, the more books it publishes and the longer the book sequence code.

5. The fifth paragraph is the check code, with only 1 digit (selected from digits 0 to 9). The check code is verified by a certain calculation method.
