Anhui Xinhua College is located in Hefei, the hometown of Bao Gong and the base of science and education in Hefei, which is the capital of Anhui, a famous historical and cultural city. Located at the south foot of Dashushan Forest Park in Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it is a provincial ordinary undergraduate university with the right to award bachelor's degrees. The predecessor of the school is Anhui Xinhua Vocational College, which was founded by Anhui Xinhua Group Investment Co., Ltd. in 2000.

In May 2005, the school was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed as Anhui Xinhua College. From June 5438 to February 2005, the Party Committee of Anhui Xinhua College was formally established, becoming the first private university in Anhui Province to set up a Party Committee. In 2009, it successfully passed the evaluation of the right to award bachelor's degree and became the first private undergraduate university in Anhui Province to obtain the right to award bachelor's degree.
