The school was established on August 20 18 13. It is a large-scale school built by the Jinsha County Party Committee and the county government according to the Outline of the National Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan (20 10-2020) to accelerate the development of ordinary high school education, integrate, optimize and expand high-quality educational resources, and realize large-scale, high-quality and intensive running. She is located in the center of the new town, which is the core area of Jinsha culture and education.

The total investment of the school is 700 million yuan. It is divided into four functional areas-office area, teaching area, living area and sports area, with a total area of 475.34 mu, three teaching buildings * * * 4283 square meters, library building 4227 square meters, administrative office building 28 10 square meters, three canteens * * 12543 square meters and student service center building 3223 square meters. Dormitory 12 * * 65 199.6 square meters, gymnasium 15850 square meters, science and technology building 12 184 square meters, art museum 5674 square meters, bathroom 2584 square meters, with a total construction area of 35%. Upon completion, Jinsha Middle School will have 240 classes, accommodating 1.2 million students, with an average of 50 students in each class and nearly 1,000 faculty members. At present, the first phase of the project has been put into use, with 5 100 students. 280 teachers, bachelor degree or above 100%, 8 graduate students. Among them, there are 4 provincial backbone teachers, 4 provincial famous teachers 1 person, 60 backbone teachers at or above the county level and 60 senior teachers. The school has a provincial famous teacher studio, which is one of the first 27 famous teacher studios in Guizhou Province.
