Adjacent to Li Xiannian's former residence is the exhibition hall, which is divided into two parts. One part introduces the indomitable revolutionary struggle history of Gao Qiao people and the lives of generals born in this area, and the other part introduces Li Xiannian's family history, which records in detail Li Xiannian's struggle from the son of a tenant farmer and village carpenter to the leader of the party and state.
There is also a newly-built Li Xiannian Library in the Memorial Park, which not only collects and displays a large number of precious books, revolutionary documents and Li Xiannian's important works, but also displays Chinese and foreign encyclopedias and excellent popular science books for villagers to learn. Interestingly, there is a 2,000-square-meter building next to the library, which is the office space of one-to-one clone Li Xiannian when he was appointed as the president, including the staff office and the security room.
The former residence of General Chen Xilian faces Li Xiannian Memorial Park across the field. Its architectural style is a typical representative of rural houses in 1930s, with ancient maple trees and small wells in front of it. Indoor exhibitions always tell people about the revolutionary career of General Ma Rong.
Changfeng village is also a green pure land with beautiful natural scenery. The former residence of President Li Xiannian is surrounded by mountains and waters. The hill behind is called Hongmazhai and full of green, and there are still ancient castles in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. According to the tourism development plan of Changfeng Village, a "Jiulong Chong" natural scenic spot will be built around Li Xiannian Memorial Park.
Changfeng village is a pilot village for new rural construction. The roads in the village have been flooded, and tap water, telephone and broadband have all entered the village. All 27 villagers in Lijiadawu moved into the newly-built Xiaoyanglou.
Hubei Hong 'an Revolutionary Traditional Education College takes Changfeng Village as the teaching contact point, and all department-level cadres studying in the college will spend a day in Li Jia Dawu, eating, living and working with the villagers. Since last year, * * * 3,200 students have come to Changfeng to receive the "three-oriented" education.
Former US President Jimmy Carter and his wife came to Changfeng Village, visited the memorial garden of Li Xiannian's former residence, and gave a speech to more than 80 farmers' representatives here. Mr. John De Gioia, President of Georgetown University in the United States, also visited Changfeng Village.
