SCI- American Science Citation Index

Its full English name is Science Citation Index, or SCI for short. It is a world-famous comprehensive retrieval tool published by institute for scientific information (ISI). Established in 196 1. ISI selects periodical sources through its strict periodical selection criteria and evaluation procedures, with a slight increase or decrease every year, so that the literature collected by SCI can comprehensively cover the most important and influential research achievements in the world.

Its full English name is Engineering Index, abbreviated as EI. It is a famous comprehensive retrieval tool edited and published by engineering information company, which was established in 1884. Its publishing forms include printed periodicals, CD-ROM versions and online databases, and now it has published a web-based database on the Internet. The literature reported by EI covers a wide range of disciplines, involving various fields of engineering technology, but the literature on basic disciplines that belong to pure theory is generally not reported. The literature reported by EI is carefully selected by relevant experts and professors, which has high reference value and is one of the retrieval tools frequently used by engineers, researchers and scientific and technological information personnel all over the world.

ISTP- index of proceedings of American science and technology conferences

Its full English name is Science Index &; Technical conference, ISTP for short. It is a world-famous comprehensive literature retrieval tool for scientific and technological conferences published in institute for scientific information, USA. Established in 1978. Its publishing forms include printed periodicals, CDs and online databases. ISTP contains the conference records published in various languages in various fields of science and technology in the world, covering life science, physics, chemistry, agriculture, environmental science, clinical medicine, engineering technology, applied science and other fields.

SSCI and AHCI

Ssci (social science citation index) and ahci(arts & amp； Humanities Citation Index) is a large-scale retrieval tool for statistical analysis of the number of humanities and social science papers edited and published by the American Institute of Science and Technology Information, and is a sister article of SCI.

SSCI and AHCI contain six periodicals of China's papers: China Education and Society, China Law and Government, China Literature, China Sociology and Anthropology, China Historical Research and China Contemporary Thoughts. The latter three are all published, translated and published by M.E.SHARPE, and related articles can be found in newspapers and books.

Analysis of domestic periodicals

Domestic periodicals can be divided into general periodicals and core periodicals.

First, general publications

At present, general publications are the first choice for most people to publish papers, so they have a wide audience. Whether it is promotion or graduation, or awards, it is a very common demand to publish general publications.

General periodicals are divided into national and provincial levels.

"National" periodical

Generally speaking, "national" periodicals refer to periodicals sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and their subordinate departments, or China Academy of Sciences, China Academy of Social Sciences, democratic parties and national people's organizations, and periodicals sponsored by national professional societies. In addition, publications clearly marked with the words "national journals" and "core journals" can also be regarded as national journals.

"provincial" periodicals

That is, journals sponsored by provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government and their subordinate ministries, commissions, departments and bureaus, and journals (periodicals) sponsored by institutions of higher learning.

Generally speaking, as long as it is a regular publication, there are double serial numbers, cn is a domestic serial number and issn is an international serial number. Second, core journals.

At present, there are seven core journals (or source journals) selection systems in China:
