Sichuan university of media and communications Volunteer Group (formerly Chengdu University of Technology College of Radio, Film and Television Volunteer Group) was established in May 20 12. It is a hospital-wide (sichuan university of media and communications) student organization initiated by Chengdu volunteers and composed of students engaged in social welfare and social services.

Since its establishment, the association has carried out public welfare activities in the spirit of "dream and love, we are together". At present, it has cooperated with more than 50 institutions, such as College Library, Tuanjie Town Nursing Home in Pixian County, Chengdu Le Yi Nursing Home, Chengdu SOS International Children's Village, Chengdu Stray Animal Rescue Center, Chengdu Volunteers' Federation, Chengdu Qingyang District Volunteers' Federation and Chengdu Tuoai Public Welfare Development Center, to carry out voluntary service activities on a regular basis.

The Association regularly conducts emergency skills training, cooperates with the Red Cross, and conducts emergency survival skills training activities for members of the Association. After the "4.20 Lushan earthquake in Sichuan", a caring team composed of three social volunteers.

With the help of China Red Cross Beijing Blue Sky Rescue Team and Chengdu Tuoai Public Welfare Development Center, the caring materials donated by teachers and students of the hospital arrived in the hardest hit area the day after the earthquake. At the same time, the community has donated love clothes to poverty-stricken areas all the year round, and more than 10 volunteers have visited poverty-stricken areas such as Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province.
