After 1958, we began to design and manufacture all kinds of steam locomotives represented by the above models. 1959 designed and manufactured the first batch of senior official vehicles in China. Since 196 1, we have designed and manufactured special vehicles for aerospace defense departments, and our products have won many national scientific and technological progress awards and other awards. In the 1950s and 1960s, we manufactured meter-gauge steam locomotives and meter-gauge buses in batches for the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. In 1970s, the factory carried out a large-scale technical transformation. 1976 successfully designed and manufactured Dongfeng 5 shunting diesel locomotive, and entered a new field of diesel locomotive production.
In the 1976 Tangshan earthquake that shocked China and foreign countries, factories were destroyed, 10000 workers and their families were killed, and a large number of scientific and technological personnel and excellent workers were lost. At present, China CNR Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Factory is mainly engaged in the development, manufacture and maintenance of rail transit equipment. It is the main production base of railway passenger cars in China and a large national enterprise. The annual production capacity is 600 new passenger cars, 600 overhauled passenger cars and 0/80 overhauled Dongfeng 4 diesel locomotive. Products have been exported to Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, North Korea and other countries. The factory passed the ISO900 1 quality system certification in198, and passed the ISO 14000 environmental system and OHSMS occupational safety and health management system "double certification" and GJB/Z900 1-96 national army quality management system certification in 2002.
In recent years, the factory has provided all kinds of main buses for China Railway to speed up four times, and has successively developed and produced the first domestic double-deck diesel EMU, the first domestic 200km/h high-speed EMU second-class passenger car, the first domestic tilting passenger car and other new products. Tilting train can increase the curve passing speed by about 30%, which is an ideal mode to speed up the existing railway in China. The speed 160km/h decentralized diesel hydraulic tilting emu developed by the factory for Sanmao Railway Co., Ltd. will be put into trial operation in the second half of the year. On this basis, the factory actively develops 200km/h power decentralized electric tilting EMU.
In order to meet the requirements of high-speed and high-grade railways and the rapid development of urban rail transit market, the factory has invested 300 million yuan, and is vigorously carrying out technical transformation, implementing process reengineering and building a new aluminum alloy bus production line. It is planned that by the end of 2004, the annual production capacity of 200 aluminum alloy buses (including tilting, high-speed, light rail and subway buses) will be formed, and the technological equipment and manufacturing level will enter the first-class ranks in China.
