From September, 65438 to September, 0909 (the first year of Qing Dynasty), the Qing government set up a library (the predecessor of Beijing Library), and transferred the collections of the Cabinet Treasury, the Hanlin Academy, the imperial academy Library, and the Sikuquanshu and the Dunhuang Robbery Letter of Wenjinge as the basic collections, with Miao as the first supervisor.
On the eve of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC),/kloc-0 changed its name to National Beijing Library in September, 1949, and195/kloc-0 changed its name to Beijing Library in June, 2008.
